AT THE Afrimi Yam Festival of the Abese La-Adonten Division, Deputy Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Hon. Rita Naa Odoley Sowah, urged members of the La Traditional Council to prioritize unity and peace.
She expressed her commitment to leaving a legacy of harmony among chiefs and encouraged traditional leaders to support youth empowerment initiatives aimed at tackling drug abuse and equipping young people with employable skills.
On behalf of the people of La-Adonten, the chief, Nii Kwade Okropong I, presented a citation to Hon. Rita Naa Odoley Sowah, MP for La Dade-Kotopon and Deputy Minister for her appointment, her hard work as MP, and her previous service as MCE for the area.
She was accompanied by the current humble and respected MCE, Alfredos Nii Anyetei, along with some NDC constituency executives.
