THE ABLEKUMA North Zango Caucus has congratulated Hon. Ewurabena Aubynn on her groundbreaking win in the recent parliamentary rerun.
This could be described as a major political shift and a triumph of grassroots mobilization.
In a statement issued by the Zango Caucus Coordinator, Abdul-Wahab Jawando, the group praised Madam Ewurabena Aubynn for breaking the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) 28-year hold on the constituency.
“Breaking a 28-year stronghold is no small feat; it reflects your unwavering commitment, grassroots connection, and the hope you bring to the people,” the statement read.
The Caucus pledged full support to the newly elected Member of Parliament, emphasizing their readiness to partner with her for inclusive development and transformative leadership across the constituency, especially in Zango communities.

Hon. Ewurabena Aubynn’s narrow victory, by a margin of just over 200 votes; marked the first time the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has captured the Ablekuma North seat since the beginning of Ghana’s Fourth Republic.
Her win has been widely hailed as a symbol of change and renewed faith in the NDC’s agenda for development and unity.
