DR. ISHMAEL  DODOO

A NEW wave of hope and determination is sweeping through the GaDangme community following a highly impactful GaDangme Youth Forum on the 24-Hour Economy, held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025.

Organized by the GaDangme Elites in partnership with the GaDangme Alliance for Change, the forum rallied youth leaders, student unions and traditional authorities around the theme “Creating Wealth for the GaDangme Youth.”

The event aimed to empower young people to leverage the government’s 24-Hour Economy Policy as a tool for job creation, wealth generation, and economic growth within the GaDangme enclave.

Speaking on behalf of Nii Ayi Bonte II, Gbese Mantse, Nii Ayikwei Kakalor, Divisional Chief of Kokomlemle, commended the youth for stepping up and encouraged them to embrace the economic opportunities ahead.

Nii Teinor Ashigente II of Teinor We, OSU, added a firm call for government commitment to implement the policy effectively, while urging the youth to focus on skills development and productive ventures.

In a compelling presentation, Dr. Ishmael Amanor Dodoo, from the 24-Hour Economy Office, outlined how the policy is designed to drive industrialization, support entrepreneurship, boost agribusiness, and unlock digital innovation.

He stressed that the GaDangme youth are uniquely positioned to benefit if they adopt the right mindset and actively participate.

Nuumo Gbelenfo, OSU Gua Wulomo, closed with a passionate plea for unity and discipline, urging the youth to avoid negative distractions and for traditional leaders to protect community lands for future development.

The event ended with an emotional vote of thanks by Oko Oniku Henry, NASPA President, Tema Metro, who hailed the forum as a “turning point” in the economic future of GaDangme youth.
