
IN A SIGNIFICANT turn of events, Alfredos Nii Anyetei has been unanimously confirmed as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the La Dade-Kotopon Municipal Assembly.
This confirmation follows an earlier rejection by assembly members, marking a notable shift in the assembly’s stance.

Two weeks earlier, Anyetei’s nomination was met with resistance, with assembly members expressing concerns over his nomination. The initial vote saw only 5 out of 14 members endorsing his candidacy, falling short of the required two-thirds majority.
However, in the latest voting session, Anyetei secured a unanimous endorsement, with all 15 assembly members casting their votes in his favour. This 100% approval reflects a consolidated confidence in his leadership capabilities.
In his acceptance speech, Anyetei expressed profound gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama for his nomination, the MP for the area, Hon. Rita Naa Odoley Sowah, the assembly members, traditional authorities, and his family for their unwavering support.
