IN A MAJOR boost to Ghana’s road transport administration, the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) has successfully commissioned a state-of-the-art, 24-hour service centre at Adentan in Accra.
Speaking at the commissioning, Julius Neequaye Kotey, Acting Chief Executive Officer of DVLA, described the initiative as a milestone in public service delivery, aimed at enhancing accessibility and convenience for drivers and vehicle owners.

The new facility will provide round-the-clock services for key processes like driver’s licence acquisition, vehicle registration, and roadworthiness certification.
Mr. Neequaye Kotey stressed that this development is part of DVLA’s broader digital and operational reforms to ease pressure on existing centres and reduce service turnaround time.

“This 24-hour centre is not only a game changer in how we serve the public, but also a clear demonstration of our commitment to innovation and responsiveness to customer needs,” Mr. Kotey stated.

The Adentan office is the first of its kind in the country and is expected to significantly improve road safety compliance and accessibility of DVLA services, especially for individuals who cannot access services during regular working hours.
