THE ASSEMBLY Member for the Hlevi–Toklokpo Electoral Area in the South Tongu District, Francis Quarshie Agbedeke, has donated two wheelchairs and several essential items to Miss Zenab Haruna, a Primary Six pupil of Awuyakope Basic School who lives with a physical disability.
The support came after a photograph of Zenab, taken by serial caller Mr. Almighty Hero, was shared with the Assembly Member, who also serves as the Deputy Communications Officer of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the South Tongu Constituency. Moved by the image, he quickly mobilized his non-governmental organizations to assist the young girl.
The wheelchairs are expected to greatly improve Zenab’s daily movement, making it easier for her to attend school and carry out personal tasks with less difficulty.
Presenting the items, the Assembly Member assured the family that he and his team would return to help arrange corrective surgery for Zenab’s leg. He expressed hope that the procedure would restore her mobility and enhance her independence.
The gesture highlights his continued commitment to supporting vulnerable residents, especially children with special needs, within the Hlevi–Toklokpo Electoral Area and the wider South Tongu District.
