THE PARAMOUNT Chief of the Ntrubo North Traditional Area, Nana Digbengyoo Obirikitibi Amenadu Okordie I, says years of conflict in the Nkwanta area have slowed development, denied communities progress, and damaged Ghana’s image internationally.

In an interview with the Nationaltymes.com Reporter, the Chief proposed that government should declare conflict-prone municipalities as chartered zones, giving the state full authority to manage lands and development in those areas. He believes this will help prevent further disputes and ensure fair distribution of resources.
Nana Obirikitibi stressed the need for lasting peace in Nkwanta South and appealed to individuals and groups encouraging the conflict to stop immediately. He noted that no one wins in a war, and that continued fighting only destroys the future of the municipality.

He further expressed his willingness to join peace talks and urged all parties involved to engage in dialogue to find a permanent solution.
