THE NATIONAL Petroleum Authority (NPA) has celebrated its 20th anniversary with a special courtesy visit to the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu, at the Kanda Mosque in Accra.

The delegation was led by the NPA Chief Executive, Godwin Kodjo  Edudze Tamakloe, who expressed deep appreciation to the Muslim community for their long-standing support and cooperation.

Mr. Tamakloe said the visit was meant to show gratitude to the Chief Imam and the entire Muslim community for their continuous contribution to the growth of the Authority.

He also emphasized the importance of peaceful coexistence among employees of different backgrounds within the NPA.

“We are here to offer our sincere gratitude to the National Chief Imam and the entire Muslim community for the harmony we enjoy in the Authority, both in our offices and in all our operations,” he said.

The CEO added that the NPA has made conscious efforts to support its Muslim staff, including creating space for them to observe Ramadan without challenges. He noted that the Authority remains committed to building a workplace where everyone feels respected and valued.

In his response, the National Chief Imam thanked the NPA leadership for the visit and praised the Authority for promoting peace, dignity, and equal treatment at the workplace. He offered prayers for the continued growth of the NPA, asking for divine wisdom and guidance for its leaders.

The visit formed part of the NPA’s week-long 20th anniversary activities, which also include stakeholder engagements, press briefings, and a review of the Authority’s achievements since it was established in 2005.
