HEATH Goldfields Ltd. has secured a significant victory at the Supreme Court after the court unanimously dismissed an application filed by Future Global Resources Ltd. (FGR) and Blue Gold Bogoso Ltd. on Tuesday, November 18, 2025.
The ruling confirms that Heath Goldfields legally acquired the Bogoso-Prestea Mine.
The panel, led by Justice Amadu Tanko, expressed concern over the applicants’ continued attempts to overturn an earlier High Court ruling and questioned why Heath Goldfields and the Minerals Commission were repeatedly drawn into the matter.
This latest decision marks the sixth consecutive legal loss for FGR and Blue Gold since September 2024, when the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources lawfully terminated their mining rights and approved their transfer to Heath Goldfields.

The Supreme Court had earlier struck out the applicants’ first application for lack of prosecution. Their attempt to relist the case also failed. The initial suit, filed in December 2024, sought to quash the Minister’s decision and place an injunction on Heath Goldfields’ takeover of the mine. However, on March 20, 2025, Justice Yaa Onyameye Gyakobo dismissed the case as incompetent and without proper grounds.

The latest ruling strengthens Heath Goldfields’ legal position and reinforces the government’s commitment to fairness and transparency in the mining sector.
Heath Goldfields says it remains focused on responsibly managing the Bogoso-Prestea Mine, contributing to national economic growth, supporting surrounding communities, and maintaining open engagement with stakeholders.
