THE SALAGA-SOUTH Member of Parliament, Hon. Hajia Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah, has extended support to the family of Dr. Callistus Mahama ahead of the funeral rites of his late mother, Madam Salomey Ama Mahama.
The MP visited the family home early Friday, where she and the constituency chairman presented food items, mineral water, assorted drinks, and a bull donated on behalf of Alhaji Awudu Azorka. She offered her condolences and assured the family of her continued support.
She later visited Dr. Callistus’s private residence in Salaga to express further sympathies as he received guests ahead of the funeral scheduled for tomorrow.
On her way to the funeral grounds, Hon. Zuwera interacted with YEA recruits engaged in a clean-up exercise along the principal streets. She commended their commitment and encouraged them to keep supporting community activities.

At the Salaga Astro Turf, the MP inspected preparations for the ceremony and expressed satisfaction with the steady progress.
Hon. Zuwera also toured ongoing works on the Kiote Nkwanta–Kiote Road, which is being rehabilitated through her initiative. She applauded the National DRIP Coordinator, Hon. Nii Lante Vanderpuye, for training machine operators and providing technical support, as well as the District DRIP Coordinator, Mr. Nafiu Mustapha, and his team for their dedication.
She disclosed that she had personally pre-financed the rehabilitation of the Salaga–Kafaba Road and will later apply for reimbursement from her MP’s Common Fund to support more road projects. Plans are also underway to work on the Ngua Mallam–Kulpi Road and other communities as funds become available.
Later in the afternoon, the MP returned to the family residence to join in receiving the Chief Justice, His Lordship Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie, who visited to console the bereaved family.
