MEMBER of Parliament for Ayawaso East, Hon. Mc Nasser Mahama Toure, has donated essential items to first-year Senior High School (SHS) students who are preparing to leave for school as boarders.

The initiative, aimed at easing the financial burden on parents, comes at a time when many families are struggling to meet the costs of preparing their wards for admission into various schools across the country.
Each student received a mattress, and a chop box, for personal belongings, and for storing food. These items are crucial for students staying in boarding houses and often form part of the admission requirements.
The donation event, which took place at St. Kizito in the constituency, saw massive attendance from beneficiary students, parents, and community members.

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ayawaso East, Hon. Abdul-Ganiyu Ibrahim, joined the MP in distributing the items. Traditional leaders and opinion leaders in the area were also present to lend their support.
Many parents and students expressed their gratitude to the MP and MCE, describing the gesture as timely and thoughtful. It is the first time such a donation has been made to first-year SHS students in the municipality, and residents say it reflects the MP’s commitment to education and community welfare.

“Thank you Hon. Mc Nasser, and thank you to our MCE for this great support,” one parent said.
