AS THE Black Stars prepare to face Chad this afternoon in a crucial World Cup qualifying match in N’Djamena, the Minister for Youth and Sports, Hon. Kofi Iddie Adams, is calling on Ghanaians to rally behind the team in prayer.
Speaking to The Loop, the Minister humbly appealed: “Ghana needs a win in N’Djamena to ease our path to World Cup qualification. Let’s remember the team in our prayers.”
Addressing the recent controversy over the proposed budget for the match, Hon. Adams assured Ghanaians and the Ghana Football Association (GFA) of his commitment to resolving all outstanding issues.
“We are all in the same boat. Regardless of our differences, it’s time to smoke the peace pipe and avoid rocking the boat. Our focus now must be national interest,” he said.
In a goodwill message to the players and technical team, the Minister encouraged them to give their best and make the nation proud.
He also appealed to the media to remain calm and refrain from further commentary on the budget issue until after the match, to allow the team full concentration.
