DAVID SITSOPE Tamakloe, the newly elected President of the Private Newspaper and Online News Publishers Association of Ghana (PRINPAG), has expressed profound gratitude to members of the association following his victory in the just-ended national executive elections.
In a statement issued after the polls, Mr. Tamakloe thanked the executives, the PRINPAG secretariat, the elections committee, and the general membership for their trust and confidence in his leadership. He also acknowledged the contributions of all contestants and praised the peaceful nature of the election process.

“The strong show of confidence through your votes is a clear call to duty, and I assure you that I am ready to hit the ground running,” he stated.
Mr. Tamakloe reaffirmed his commitment to a united and visionary leadership that seeks to strengthen PRINPAG, improve its public visibility, and introduce innovative ways to generate revenue for the benefit of all members.

He noted that partnerships with sister media organisations, government, and corporate bodies would be key to advancing professional standards, media freedom, and free speech in Ghana, in line with PRINPAG’s constitutional principles.
The president-elect extended a hand of cooperation to his fellow elected executives and former contenders, urging them to contribute their ideas and efforts to build a stronger association.

Mr. Tamakloe also paid tribute to the founding fathers of PRINPAG, pledging to uphold their legacy and lead the association into a new era of growth, relevance, and professionalism within Ghana’s media landscape.
