THE CHAIRMAN of the Christian Council of Ghana and Moderator of the General Assembly of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana; Rt. Rev. Dr. Lt. Col. Bliss Divine Agbeko (Rtd), on Saturday, August 10, 2025, has paid a solemn visit to the leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

The visit was to express sympathy and solidarity with the party following the tragic loss of eight distinguished Ghanaians who died in service to the nation.

In a spirit of unity and compassion, Rt. Rev. Agbeko offered heartfelt prayers for the nation, President John Dramani Mahama, the bereaved families, and the leadership of the NDC party. He then signed the book of condolence opened in honour of the fallen statesmen.

The delegation was warmly received by Hon. Comrade Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, Executive Director for Prayer and Thanksgiving; Mr. Godwin Ako Gunn, Deputy National Communication Officer, and Madam Vida Addae, Director of Welfare, NDC.

In a brief address, Hon. Afriyie Ankrah expressed the party’s appreciation for the prayers and words of consolation, noting that such acts of solidarity strengthen national unity during moments of collective grief.
