THE La Dade-Kotopon Municipal Assembly (LaDMA) has launched a new long-term development plan aimed at creating over 5,000 decent jobs, improving infrastructure, expanding essential services, and digitizing 70% of service delivery.
The plan also focuses on building a more responsive and accountable local governance system. This bold initiative supports President John Dramani Mahama’s Reset Agenda by aligning LaDMA’s local development goals with the broader national vision.
Officials explained that while the plan is ambitious, it is also flexible and can adapt to changing conditions and priorities.

Held under the theme “Shaping Our Destiny: A Roadmap for Transformation and Prosperity,” the launch event brought together key stakeholders, including government representatives, development partners, traditional leaders, and residents.
In his welcome remarks, Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Alfredos Nii Anyetei described the day as a historic moment for the municipality. He emphasized the need for unity, courage, and commitment to shaping a better future for La.
Hon. Nii Anyetei also acknowledged the efforts of past leaders, especially Hon. Solomon Kotey Nikoi, for laying the foundation for the plan.
As part of the launch, LaDMA introduced a new brand identity, and unveiled a book titled “Transforming Ghana, One District at a Time: The La Dade-Kotopon Success Story.”

The Assembly is calling on all stakeholders—from government and traditional leaders to the private sector and residents—to support, fund, and help implement the plan.
With collective action, LaDMA hopes to drive meaningful change and lasting progress for its people, appealed Hon. MCE, Alfredos Nii Anyetei.
The Assembly members of the La Dade-Kotopon graced the momentous launch their numbers.
