THE RESPECTED leader of the Greater Accra Regional Zango Caucus Magajia, Hajia Lami Ibrahim, has been appointed as the Deputy Regional Director of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) for Greater Accra.

Her appointment has been widely welcomed across Zango communities and beyond, with many hailing it as a strong testament to her tireless service, leadership, and advocacy for women and youth empowerment.
Hajia Lami Ibrahim has long been recognized for her unifying leadership within the Zango Caucuses, where she worked to bring the need to bridge traditional leadership gape.
Her ability to mobilize support, mediate community concerns, and champion social development has earned her admiration from both the NDC grassroots and political leadership.
In her new role at NADMO, she is expected to play a key part in strengthening the region’s disaster preparedness and response strategies — particularly in high-density and vulnerable areas such as the Zangos.

Supporters and stakeholders have described her appointment as strategic, noting that her strong ties to local communities, especially in inner-city Accra, will enhance NADMO’s engagement and effectiveness on the ground.
