
IN A BOLD move to accelerate Ghana’s economic transformation, Minister for Trade, Agribusiness, and Industry, Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, has inaugurated the boards of Ghana Heavy Equipment Limited, Ghana Enterprises Agency (GEA), and the Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA).
These appointments aim to provide strategic leadership, foster innovation, and promote sustainable growth across key sectors.
The newly constituted boards are tasked with enhancing export competitiveness, attracting investments, and upholding ethical standards. By modernizing Ghana’s industrial landscape and supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), they are expected to play a pivotal role in job creation and economic development.

Hin. Ofosu-Adjare emphasized the government’s commitment to a 24-hour economy, aiming to boost productivity and reduce import dependency.
She highlighted the importance of leveraging initiatives like the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) to expand Ghana’s export markets.

The inauguration of these boards marks a significant step towards realizing Ghana’s vision of becoming a leading industrial and export-driven economy in Africa.
