THE HEART of Agbadzakope is about to beat stronger with a transformative Gh¢500,000.00 reconstruction project that will turn the town’s cherished football park into a state-of-the-art sports hub.
The Hon. Assembly Member for the area, Prosper Dzimado revealed that the project will include the construction of new running tracks, long jump, high jump and discus facilities, as well as a protective wire mesh fence surrounding the entire field.
The redevelopment will be executed in phases over a five-year timeline, depending on the availability of funds.

Once completed, the revamped park will serve as the official home ground for MARFO FC, a local Division 3 football club and host inter-school sports competitions for the Kpotame circuit and Zone ‘B’ schools.
“This is more than just a park. It’s a legacy project that will nurture talent, boost local pride, and become a beacon for sports development in our community,” said Hon. Dzimado.
Beyond the sports benefits, the project is expected to create employment opportunities and stimulate local economic activity throughout its construction phase and beyond.

Hon. Dzimado is calling on individuals, businesses and stakeholders to support the initiative: “We invite everyone to invest in and support the reconstruction effort. Together, we can build a facility that serves generations to come.”
