MINISTER-DESIGNATE for Youth Ministry, George Opare Addo, popularly known as Pablo, has assured Ghanaians that his focus will be on creating jobs and making the country a better place.

GREATER ACCRA REGIONAL NDC YOUTH ORGANIZER, AMOS BLESS AMORSE IN FULL SUPPORT OF HIS BOSS, PABLO.

From Ghanaians to ‘Micro-Minority’ leader of Parliament, Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin, is rather the focus towards job creation than on religious affiliations.

And following this, Pablo is of strong believe that, the youth are also interested more in competence than in personal beliefs.

Opare Addo emphasized the need to establish a special desk within the ministry to solicit funds for youth initiatives. He believes in building the capacity of young people through training and collaboration with relevant agencies.

To prevent duplication of efforts, his ministry will work closely with all ministries to ensure streamlined operations.

Agriculture featured prominently in his vision. He stressed that agriculture, the backbone of Ghana’s economy, needs to be made more appealing to the youth. To achieve this, his ministry will embark on sensitization campaigns to encourage young people to pursue careers in agriculture.

In line with the party’s manifesto, Opare Addo announced plans to establish a land-bank system, where landowners would lease lands to prospective farmers. Under this arrangement, a percentage of farm produce would go to the landowner.

Additionally, the ministry plans to set up farmer-based service centers across districts. These centers will provide affordable mechanized farming tools, improved seedlings, fertilizers and other services needed to support young farmers.

“If given the nod, my ministry will empower young people to turn their passion into agriculture,” he assured.

Touching on the issue of violence, Pablo declared that it has no place in Ghana’s national development and urged the youth to reject it. His focus will be on initiatives that promote peace and constructive engagement.
