A RENOWNED SHEIKH in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has admonished Ghanaians to vote for a political party that has an Islamic-freindly manifesto going into 2024 general elections.

The Sheukh, Dr. Abdulsalaam Ibrahim Al Hussain, lecturer at Al Ahsan Islamic University, Saudi Arabia responded to one Alhaji Is-haq Ibrahim Dangaladima (aka Hajj Polo Dangaladima) who consulted him on who should a Muslim vote for, in a country like Ghana where a Muslim candidate is contesting a none Muslim candidate.
Sheikh was quick to state that, since politics is not a religion, muslim voters must vote for a candidate with good character and whose party’s manifesto recognises muslims.

Below is what the renowned Sheikh wrote in Arabic, and same translated.

The summary of the above inscription written in arabic is translated as: “countries that practice democracy, where the leader of the party must go by his or her party’s manifesto, then religion of the leader is no longer important. A Muslim should vote on the basis of good character and manifesto that would favour that country’s Muslims in general and not necessarily based on the religion of the leader”.

Below is a portion of the NDC manifesto which is Islamic-friendly.
1- Building and establishing Islamic teachers training college.
2- Employing of Arabic teachers.
3- Scholarships for Zangos especially girl child to study biochemistry abroad.
4- Reduction of Hajj fares which was Ghc 115 thousand ( 115 million old cedis ) under ttheNDC regime in 2015/6 and now Ghc 750 Thousand (750 million old cedis) under Akufo Addo and Alhaji Dr. Mahamoudu Bawumia government.
In sharing the advice of the renowned Sheikh, Alhaji Is-haq Ibrahim Dangaladima (Hajj Polo Dangaladima), an Alumni of King Saud University, Saudi Arabia, appealed to all muslims in Ghana to vote massively for former President John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
He indicated that the NDC has a rich manifesto which is all encompassing irrespective of one’s religion. Hajj Polo added that a political party with such a manifesto thinks about the people despite their religious differences, and sees the need to bringing the country together.

He lamented on the need for NDC supporters and sympathisers not to allow complacency at this time where the ruling NPP have all the institutions such as Electoral Commission and the Judiciary etc. on their side.
To this effect, Alhaji Is-haq Ibrahim Dangaladima charged that everyone must come onboard as it remains 47 days more to the general elections to campaign hard to canvass more votes for JM and the NDC to rescue Ghana once and for all.
May Almighty Allah Bless Us With Victory In The Upcoming Elections 2024.
