THE LONG AWAITED dumsor vigil finally held successfully in Accra to the admiration of Ghanaians who suffer from deliberate power rushining.

At about 5:30 pm in the evening, several hundred of protestors have already converged at the forecourt of the University of Ghana, Legon, clad in a branded black T-shirts as some were seen wielding placards with various inscriptions amidst dancing to the rhythmic sounds of traditional drums which were being played at the background.
The highly anticipated “Dumsor Must Stop Vigil” came-off successfully last Saturday as scheduled.

With an unyielding resolve and a collective desire to have government restore the currently ongoing power fluctuations, the peaceful protesters marched through the principal streets of Legon with a thunderous chants, which echoed against the towering buildings along the roadside down to their final destination, where some notable participants addressed the press.
In a glaringly dramatic turn, as the echoes of the protesters faded into the night, their flame of passion burned brighter than ever with their message, not only resonated with motorists and commuters alike, but also reverberated far beyond the confines of the streets, wafting through the air and captivating the senses of all Ghanaians.

Dignitaries in attendance and took their turn to address teeming crowd included Madina MP, Francis Sosu, Ablekuma North NDC PC, Ewurabena Aubynn, Dome-kwabenya NDC PC, Eliplim Akurugu, Ayawaso West Wougon NDC PC, John Dumelo.
Others were NDC Deputy National Youth Organiser, Osman Ayariga, Greater Accra NDC Deputy Regional Secretary, Akuyea Addy.

The Convenors were, Actress Yvonne Nelson and Comedian DKB, Henry Osei Akoto, Serlom Dramani, Dzifa Gunu, political strategist, Julius Logass.
