NATIONAL CHAIRMAN of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah has charged traditional leaders across the country and civil society organisations to start speaking against any action that could mad the 2024 election.

Mr. Asiedu Nketiah stressed that “soccer and volleyball matches do not make peace elections; but honesty and transparency does.
Making the call in Accra over the week, he warned that the NDC will resist any attempt by EC through the on-going limited voter registration exercise to prepare the grounds for rigging 2024 elections for the failed ruling NPP.
The Ashanti Regional Director of Electoral Commission (EC) with the support of the National Commissioners stopped the NDC agents from recording the serial numbers of the BVR kits during the on-going voter registration exercise.

The party has always been suspicious that the stolen voter registration kits from EC warehouse under a 24-hour CCTV cameras could be used by persons to illegally register people during the on-going voter registration exercise.
According to NDC National Chairman, the party is recording these serial numbers to enable them truck all the BVR devices the EC is using for the exercise across the country. And to also help trace the 10 EC stolen equipments (ie. 5 BVRs and 5 laptops) for registration exercise.

As part of their plans for rigging the elections 2024 for the NPP, the EC claimed that recording of these serial numbers would affect the integrity of 2024 elections.
Chairman Asiedu Nketiah aka General Mosquito stated that the EC should not expect the NDC to believe and trust that all is well with their (EC) voter registration equipments and preparation into elections 2024.
He opined that if the EC has nothing to hide, they should allow willing political parties to record the serial numbers of the BVR kits for the limited voter registrations.

He sounded saying, “we are determined to ring-fence the threat and risk to the 2024 elections by documenting the serial numbers of each BVR kits that will be used in this registrations exercise”.
