A LITTLE LESS than 2, 300 National Democratic Congress (NDC) delegates at the Odododiodioo Constituency in the Greater Accra Region have elected their Parliamentary Candidate (PC) today for 2024 general.
Alfred Nii Kotey Ashie was elected the NDC PC to take over from Edwin Nii Lante Vanderpuiye, the currently Member of Parliament (MP) for the people of Odododiodioo Constituency.
Election in that constituency was postponed until further noticed due to a number of worrying issues that led to investigations and a genuinely disqualification of one Michael Nii Yarboi Anang.
Nii Ashie Kotey contested with Emmanuel Nii Okai Laryea, a former Member of Parliament for the people of Amasaman Constituency in the Ga West Municipality of the Greater Accra Region.
Nii Ashie Kotey bits Nii Okai Laryea with 257 votes difference to become the NDC PC elect to take over from the Odododiodioo unflagging MP, Edwin Nii Lante Vanderpuiye.
By the end of the voting on January 21, 2024, at 5pm, Alfred Nii Ashie Kotey pulled 1, 209 votes whilst Emmanuel Nii Okai Laryea pulled 952 votes out of 2, 169 total valid vote cast; with 8 rejected votes.
The next NDC Parliamentary Candidate (PC) for the 2024 general elections in Odododiodioo Constituency is Alfred Nii Ashie Kotey.
