FOLLOWING the confusion that ensued between two regional executive members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Northern Region, the party has suspended its Northern Regional Vice-Chairman.
The suspension of Alhaji Ahmed Gbewaa, came on the back of serious deliberations between the National and Northern regional executives in Accra over the week.
The Northern Regional NDC Chairmain and Secretary, Ali Adolf and Mohammed Abdul-Salaam were part of the crunch meeting prior to the suspension.
According to the statement issued in Accra by the party’s chief scribe, Hon. Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, the Functional Executive Committee (FEC) suspended Alhaji Gbewaa for attacking and assaulting their regional treasurer, Hajia Shamima Shamima Yakubu.
