JUNE 18, 2023; Men of Gbedeh Kofe in Adjein Kotoku Electoral Area at Ga West Municipality in the Greater Accra Region have celebrated the Fathers’ Day in a grand style.
The men who always converged at their usual Anyah barbaring shop based at Gbedehkofe, Adjein kotoku, saw the need to celebrate this yearly ritual of fathers’ day despite the excruciating hardship in the country.
With the worse current situation in Ghana, the Anyah bartering shop base in his (barber’s) house, happens to be a place where who, in one-way or another is facing “marital or economic challenges and other situational problems, goes there to while away time; calm their situations down, through jokes during playing of cards and draft pushing.
Chairman of the Group at the base, Mark Kofi Nimako Abaka alias Koo, and a few others took upon themselves to make the day a memorable one for the members to put behind them the deliberately created hardship, and their other situations to celebrate this maiden fathers’ day in the area.
Other colleagues returned from Church Service to join their friends to celebrate this memorable fathers’ day.
The celebration was to forster unity and purpose in a sphere of strength and gentle care to one another; a signal of love amongst them beyond compare; they honour and say, Happy Fathers’ Day in this special way to themselves.
Men who are skillful in cooking took charge of the kitchen. They prepared a goat light soup in a-size 5 alluminium cooking pot. 2 other cooking pots of the same sizes were used to cook the cassava for fufu.
Everyone ate the fufu and goat light soup to his feel. Assorted drinks including the local gin were available for all to sip and drink.
