ONE OF THE NEWLY-ELECTED National Executive Committee (NEC) Member, Wonder Victor Kutor, Esq. wonders how he has garnered a huge vote margin amongst his colleague contestants in the just ended NDC 2022 delegates’ conference in Accra.
About nineteen (19) aspirants including Lawyer Wonder Victor Kutor contested for the NEC membership position which only five (5) are needed as NEC members, and he managed to pull a huge number of votes to top the rest.
He polled 1596 votes to be the first in the contest which also saw stalwarts like Araba Tagoe garnering 1017, Cecilia Asaga getting 845, Victoria Kumah-Mintah with 716 and Ephraim Nii Tan Sackey making 506 of the votes and elected in that order for the NEC membership positions.
Mr. Kutor expressed his gratitude to all the over 8000 delegates who thronged Accra Sports Stadium to vote for him or campaigned in one way or other for him to be part of the NDC NEC membership.
Following the financial standing of some aspirants who are also stalwarts in the NDC with much command, some delegates doubted if Wonder Kutor could sail through.
He also appeared not to be a known person within the NDC fraternity; but that notwithstanding Wonder wondrously pulled wonders to surprise delegates who doubted him though they bought into his message and voted for him.
He had the highest number of votes cast amongst his colleague contestants. At age 31, Wonder Kutor’s election makes him one of the youngest persons to have assumed that high-level position in the NDC following the fact that it is a position normally occupied by older members of the party.
Mr. Kutor, former Law School Students Representative Council (SRC) President, shared only jotters to everyone wherever he went to campaign to woo delegates for their votes.
Behind the jotter is full of rich messages and his credentials worth reading and that secured to him those wondrous vote margins in the just ended 10th NDC 2022 National Delegates’ Conference held in Accra.
