HIS ROYAL Majesty Nii Ayitey Anumle Oyanka I, has posited that unlike the proposed single currency for Economic Community of West African State (ECOWAS) termed “ECO”, his Note, “Glu” covers the whole of Africa.
In an interview, King Oyanka told a South African Based Television station that he was expecting his ‘Glu Note’ to go beyond Africa. To effect, King Nii Oyanka in collaboration with Nii Adama Djata are process to creating new banking empire in the whole Africa.
His Royal Majesty Nii Ayitey Anumle Oyanka is a Royal Decendant of Royal Amazons Warriors of Benin Kingdom founded by Queen Tassi Hangbe in West Africa and Traditional Ruler and Leader for Tunmma Royal Dynasty of Ga State.
He hinted that initially there was plans by the West African Monitary Zone (WANZ) to first introduce a currency which could eventually be merged with the CFA franc which is used by the French-speaking West African region within the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA).
This will also enable the UEMOA states to gain complete fiscal and monetary independence from France. The UEMOA states have alternatively proposed to reform the CFA franc into the eco first, which could then be extended to all ECOWAS states.
