The Greater Accra Regional NDC Zango Caucus Coordinator, Comrade Ismaila Horoya Ali has donated sports kits to the Islamic University College of Ghana (IUCG) in Accra.
The items he donated include 3 sets of footballs, trsining verses, a set of jerseys and training cons amomgst other sports kits to the university football team.
Comrade Horoya Ali indicated that the Greater Accra Regional NDC Zango Caucus is prepared to support the College’s sports team, but he was quick to urge that they make their request on time to enable his outfit prepared well with its gesture.
Presenting the items, Comrade Horoya Ali explained that his office had received a letter from the student body requesting for the aforementioned items few weeks ago.
And following the urgency of their request he had to mobilise the few kits he donated to them for the mean time.
However, he pledged to help the students body whenever the need arises adding that, “my doors are always opened for you”.
The Greater Accra Regional NDC Zango Caucus Coordinator further advised the Students Representative Council (SRC) to put the items to good use to the benefit of the school.
Dr. Gameel Nasser, Vice President of the IUCG commended the Zango Caucus Coordinator and his team for the donation and called for more.
He urged other organisations to follow suit and come to the aid of the school in other areas of academics.
Muhsin Khalifa Kamil, SRC President also commended the NDC Greater Accra Regional Zango Caucus for the timely intervention.
According to him, the items arrived at the time the school would be preparing for its sporting activities.
He indicated that the gesture shown by the Region’s Zango Caucus Boss would forever be remembered by the school and his name would go down in their records.
In attendance were Abdul Hussein Ishaq (Lecturer, Religious Dept.), Ibrahim Mohammed Ninchel (S.R.C Local NUGS President), Ibrahim Zakari Jaiden (S.R.C Vice-President) Abdullah Salifu (Sports Secretary).
Others were Alhassan Habibu (S.R.C PRO), Seidu Abdul Kansus (S.R.C Financial Secretary), Abdullahi Ali (S.R.C Organising Secretary) and Mr. Mujib Mohammed (PRO, IUCG).
