La MP Organises Football Gala for La Youth – Nationaltymes.com

The Hon Member of Parliament, MP for La Dade-Kotopon Constituency in the Greater Accra Regional, Madam Rita Naa Odoley Sowah is organising another Scintillating football gala among the youth the area.

In all about eight (8) teams from various communities in La Dade-Kotopon Constituency are expected to convege at La Salem Park to exhibit their talents in football on Monday, December 13, 2021 over a trophy and undisclosed amount for the winning team and its runners up.

The Hon. MP said the football gala is geared towards talent harnessing of the youth in the municipality. As part of her acknowledgement, the Hon MP intends to also organise a mini dinner for the aged in the constituency where she will “dine and wine” with them in the upcoming Christmas festivities.

According to her,  is high time the aged are recognised whilst they live, so she wants to celebrate this year’s Christmas with them so they would not feel rejected at their age.

Hon. Naa Odoley Sowah hinted that she had joined Persons With Disabilities, PWDS in Ghana to Commemorate the International Day for PWDS which was set aside for every 3rd December.

She charged that all the Coordinators of the 15 wards in the constituency to identify persons at age 65 years and above and some vulnerable persons to that day. A committee is already in place to ensure the programme comes on as plan.

Honourable Rita Naa Odoley Sowah, during her meetings with the NDC Ward Coordinators, presented fifty (50) pieces of plastic chairs to each of the 15 wards.

She presented these chairs with an intention to supporting them so they could run on their wards with profitably. Any branch member who would want the chairs for a programme should be allowed ccess with caution, MP admonished.

During her visitation to the wards, she appealed to NDC members in the wards to exercise restraint for her a little due to current happenings in parliament; she explained that the current situation in parliament is time consuming, hence the little time but Hon was quick to add that she would try adjust.

She also hinted the effort she’s making to ensure the needed development comes to the area. Hon Odoley informed the people of distributing some street lights to the some Assembly members to fix at vantage points where lights are needed across the Constituency.

Hon La MP added that she would do her best in this difficult time under the direction of President Akufo-Addo to assist the women who are looking for small loans without interest to go into businesses of their choice. She mentioned doing her best to ensure the people of La feel they have MP.

Hon. Rita Naa Odoley Sowah disclosed that she is still registering people with the HNIS both young and old so they could the free healthcare. But she was quick to indicate that soon she will bring down the NHIS NHIS officials to community by community to register the people.
