Oblieman Mantse and chairman of New Anamase Royal Alliance Council, Nii Ayitey Anumle Oyanka I, has taken on those who beat up their spouses.
Nii Oblie also warned that the two communities – Abola Piam of Ga Mashie and Anamase would not tolerate any child exploitation and especially violence against women.
He posited that child trafficking, child labour or exploitation, violence against women and teenage pregnancy would not be countenance in their communities.
He underscored the the need for the government to work hand-in-hand with the traditional authorities following the situation on the ground to see to the welfare of it’s community members.
Nii Ayittey Anumle Oyanka I, made this statement when he was speaking in an interview with Nationaltymes.com after the launch of Anamase Royal Alliance Council, and indicated that violence against women and children could be curtailed through community mobilisation by thetraditional leaders and civil society organisations CSO and with the support of the government.
“We must speak out against the abuse and violence of women and children. In the spirit of mass mobilization, it is crucial for government, traditional leadership institutions, civil society formations and community work help to build a moral and ethical society”, he lamented.
