A Ghanaian-US based musician, Wizzy Adablah with the stage name Superior Character has described entertainment pundit, Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo’s comment on dancehall artiste, Charles Nii Mensah aka Shatta Wale as superfluous.
According to Mr Adablag, Shatta Wale made a general comment on the issue regarding the Ghanaian music genre during his State of the Industry Address and not the non-existence of a genre in Ghana as Arnold might misunderstood it to mean.
“We must eschew this quick attack on ourselves as noticeable key players in the music industry. Clearly, we have huger stuff to offer the Ghanaian people just like Shatta Wale, Stonebowy and other great artistes in the country have done for the music industry in Ghana,” the Superior Character stated.
The entertainment pundit Arnold Asamoah Baidoo called Shatta Wale “confused and inconsistent” artiste on UTV’s United Showbiz programme over the weekend because he failed to make things clear on the Ghanaian genre.
The dancehall artiste then asked Arnold to render an apology to him for his disparaging comments but Arnold didn’t offer the apology which resulted in a heated verbal exchanges.
“An elder like me, you should apologise! Orsi Hwe? Because you see me as your child. Arnold, the money I see you haven’t seen some before. Look at the ugly shoe you are wearing. Your GH¢2.50p shoe. You for respect,” Shatta Wale stated on the show.
Wizzy Adablah however, commended the two gentlemen for their sharp reconciliation after the beef that has generated some level of debates on social media.
