Alhaji Yahaya Kundow, former Greater Accra NDC Regional Treasurer has donated a parcel of land for the construction of a mosque (Masjid) near Madina Central Lorry Station.
In March 2021 he completed documentation covering the land and handed over to the Muslim community in Madina during the commissioning of the Masjid Mosque.
Alhaji Yahaya Kundow stated he donated the land to the Muslim community as part of his contributions in support of the work of Allah.
He said, “looking at the location of the land, Madina central lorry station, I could use it to construct shops for rent, but there would not be enough blessing better than that of the Mosque for Al-humaar.
Alhaji Baba Sariki and his elders received the documents on behalf of the Madina Muslim community and also handed it over to the Imam Alhaji Sanda, whom he had selected to manage the Mosque with some other authorities.
The colourful event brought other personalities like the Madina Chief Imam, Sheikh Shaib Abdullah, the Madina Police Divisional Commander, Alhaji Sorogo, former Madina Hon MP, the Assemblyman in the area amongst others.
The Madina Chief Imam, Sheikh Abdullah charged the managers to ensure the Mosque is maintained better since it is the house of Allah Subahanna Watallah.
The managers were further appealed to practice cleanliness always to make the Masjid Mosque look attractive all the time.
