The controversially installed new Chief of Sogakope in the South Tongu, Volta Region, Torgbe Atsuga Sogah II has been caught in an amorous affair with someone’s Black American wife.
Information indicated the so-called Sogakope Chief, installed the Black American Woman, Dr. Mrs. Ameera Zakari Ali as a Queen Mother in the area in a bid to marry her out of her wedlock.
After her installation in Sogakope, she called herself “Oheneyere Dr. Ameera Sogah”.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Dr. Ameera Zakari Ali is already installed Queen Mother with the title “Puanaba Pikorosi Atadjie” after she traces her roots to Nania in Paga, Upper East Region in the Kassena Nankana District.
Her husband, Mr Jony Zakari Ali who is currently residing in United States of America (USA) married Dr. Ameera September 23, 2015, about six years ago.
National Tymes picked some write-ups on her Facebook wall and twitter account indicating the marriage of the chief and Mrs. Dr. Ameera Zakari Ali started somewhere in December 2020 and married in January 2021 hence her preferred name in the social media is “Oheneyere Dr. Ameera Sogah”. To this effect, Torgbe demanded she leaves her real marital-home to live with him fully in Sogakope.
Flawless information this portal further gathered alleged that the so-called chief connived with the Hon. DCE for South Tongu, Mr. Emmanuel Louis Agamah who agreed and sent the district’s Nissan pickup with two drivers with her on February 4, 2021 to convey all the belongings of Mrs. Dr. Ameera Zakari Ali at her husband’s residence in Ashaiman to Sogakope.
According to source, the Black American Woman, “Oheneyere Dr. Ameera Sogah” was scheduled to leave Ghana back to United States before February 10, 2021.
In a phone interview, the ‘Torgbe Sogah’ denied marrying any Black American lady as his wife, however he agreed with his Secretary who confirmed to us that Mrs. Dr. Ameera Zakari Ali is his (Torgbe’s) wife.
The ‘chief’ also denied the Black American Woman was installed anywhere as Queen Mother in the area. He claimed Mrs. Dr. Ameera Zakari Ali came to embark on a project to construct a clinic for them at Adidokpoe in the Fievie Traditional Area.
Later checks prior to this publication indicated he has instructed the Black American Woman who is currently Arizona, US to pull down all her write-ups and the pictures took during her installation ceremony on her Facebook wall and twitter account.
In a related development, documents in the custody of National Tymes show that the chief known as Freeman Sogah was convicted of stealing by Senchi District Magistrate Court in 2010/11, Presided over by (SGD) Y. Owoahene-Acheampong.
Freeman ‘Sogah’ was imposed and installed by force as chief of Sogah by some unscrupulous persons in Fievie Traditional Area in the Volta Region.
This portal further gathered that the chieftaincy issue involving the real Sogah family; those unscrupulous persons and Freeman ‘Sogah’ and his family is currently before the National House of Chiefs, Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.
However checks show Freeman keeps parading himself as Sogakope Chief with the support of those who wrongfully installed him, whilst the matter is pending at NHC, Kumasi.
