TENSION IS high in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Twifo Atimorkwa Constituency in the Central Region after a violent altercation between Constituency Organizer Kwadwo Debrah and Polling Station Secretary Frank Kwaku Baah.
The incident happened during a meeting with the NPP national leadership, who were in the constituency to investigate the party’s defeat in the 2024 general election.
Reports indicate that the meeting turned chaotic when some polling station executives blamed the constituency leadership for the party’s electoral loss. Kwadwo Debrah, angered by the criticisms, attacked Frank Baah, slapping him from behind before biting off his finger.

Baah, who suffered severe bleeding, was rushed to the Twifo Praso Government Hospital for emergency treatment. He has since called for justice, expressing his distress over the attack
“I’m still in shock and pain. This is a heinous act, and I demand justice. The party must take swift action against Kwadwo Debrah,” he said.
The incident has been reported to the Twifo Atimorkwa District Police Command, but no arrests have been made yet. Authorities have, however, assured that investigations are ongoing.

Many within the NPP are demanding Kwadwo Debrah’s immediate suspension and expulsion, arguing that his actions have damaged the party’s image at a critical time.
Meanwhile, the NPP national leadership is yet to comment on the incident.
Stay tuned for more updates.
