NDC Shortlists 54 Aspirants for 18 Municipal and District Chief Executive Positions in Volta Region

VOLTA REGIONAL NDC VICE-CHAIRMAN, EGYPT KOBLA KUDOTO.

THE VOLTA REGION Secretariat of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has released a list of 54 shortlisted aspirants vying for the position of Municipal and District Chief Executives (MDCEs) across 18 districts in the region.

The announcement, made in an official letter signed by the Acting Regional Secretary, Bright Kwashie Ege, follows a rigorous vetting process by the party’s vetting committee.

Each of the 18 districts has three shortlisted candidates, from which one will ultimately be appointed by the President of Ghana.

According to the statement, the final selection will be made by His Excellency,  President John Dramani Mahama to fill the various Municipal and District Chief Executive roles in the region.

The party congratulated the shortlisted individuals and wished them success as they move to the next phase of the selection process.

The shortlisted applicants include notable figures across the districts, with the full list attached to the official statement. The selection process is expected to be keenly contested, given the crucial role MDCEs play in local governance and development.
