
THE MEMBER of Parliament for South Tongu, Hon. Maxwell Lukutor, took a significant step towards improving healthcare delivery in the district.

Although, he is a first time MP, he engaged with the management of the South Tongu District Health Directorate this afternoon after his earlier familiarisation tour at the Municipal Assembly today.
The meeting, held in a collaborative atmosphere, focused on assessing the current state of healthcare in the district and identifying pressing challenges facing the sector.
Hon. Lukutor and the health management team discussed potential interventions to enhance health services and strengthen infrastructure across health facilities in the area.
Key issues such as access to quality healthcare, shortage of medical personnel, inadequate medical supplies, and the need to look at old facility in the Soga township property were brought to the fore.

The MP, who succeeded Hon. Kkwablan Woyome, emphasized his commitment to working closely with the Directorate to address these challenges and improve health outcomes for the people of South Tongu.
“This engagement is part of my broader vision to ensure that every citizen in the district has access to quality and affordable healthcare,” Hon. Lukutor stated.

He also assured the Directorate of his support in lobbying for government and donor resources to upgrade healthcare services in the area.
