THE BOSO-GUA Traditional Council has formally destooled Simon Kwame Oteng as Amankrado of the Boso-Gua Traditional Area over alleged defilement.
This Alleged defilement case is considered a complete misconduct and breaches of customary laws.

In a press release issued by the Boso-Gua Royal Amankrado Families, backed by the three Royal Kingsmen Families—Asirifi Abosi of the Afunya Kwame Clan, Ofori Aduama of the Osose Family Clan and Opanyin Opare of the Dankwah Clan—Oteng was relieved of all royal duties with immediate effect.
His destoolment over this defilement allegation was in the quest to preserve the sacred stool name he bores as Amankrado in honor of future royals.
The statement indicated that he defiled and impregnant two minors – 14 and 15 years old at his catchment area. Should he be found guilty, the royal families have vowed to impose further traditional sanctions, including permanent banishment from Boso-Gua lands.
The traditional authorities confirmed that all requisite rites and rituals have been carried out to reverse Oteng’s ties to the sacred stool.

His dismissal has been officially communicated to the Eastern Regional House of Chiefs and the National House of Chiefs, ensuring that he no longer holds any authority or recognition within the traditional governance structure.
Meanwhile, the process to nominate and enstool a new Amankrado is underway, with a formal announcement expected in due course.
The Boso-Gua Traditional Council has urged the public and relevant stakeholders to respect the decision and uphold the sanctity of the customs that govern the royal leadership of the area.
