PRESIDENT JOHN Dramani Mahama has called on Ghanaians to unite in building a resilient and prosperous nation.
In his stirring inaugural address, Mahama urged citizens to set aside differences and work collaboratively to overcome challenges such as economic instability, climate change and health crises.
“Our strength lies in our unity and our potential is limitless when we come together as one people,” Mahama said. He emphasized the importance of regional cooperation, particularly with Ghana’s neighbors, to ensure peace and stability in the sub-region.
The president also addressed global issues like the shifting balance of economic power and the impact of climate change, urging Ghanaians to be proactive in adapting to these changes.
He pledged to strengthen public health systems to prepare for potential pandemics, drawing lessons from the COVID-19 crisis.
Mahama’s vision for unity extends beyond Ghana’s borders. He emphasized the interconnectedness of West African nations, calling for solidarity in addressing shared challenges. “Let us remember that across our borders are our brothers and sisters — we are one family,” he remarked.

In closing, Mahama urged every Ghanaian to play an active role in shaping the nation’s future. “Together, we can create a Ghana where unity, progress and equality are not just ideals but the very fabric of our society,” he said.
