MRS. MARVIS OSEI AKOTO has finally joined her husband to campaign for former President John Dramani Mahama and the NDC in the upcoming 2024 general elections in Ashanti Region of Ghana.
She indicated in a conversation that she’ll do everything within her means to support her husband in helping the NDC to snatch the parliamentary seat and to gain more votes for the presidential to enable JM rescue Ghana from the failed ruling NPP.
Mrs Marvis Osei Akoto was quick to add that this year’s election would be tough, however, the incompetence of the Nana Akufo-Addo/Bawumia led governing NPP is enough reason for them to get out of power.
Madam Osei Akoto iterated that the hardship the NPP government created after the easy-going economy was handed over to them in 2017 by the John Dramani Mahama led NDC government, it’s serious, and it calls for immediate rescue of this country else everyone will die, she lamented.
She started her campaign for JDM and the NDC Parliamentary Candidate (PC) for Oforikrom, Anwel Sadat Ahmed with a 24-hour walk Health in the region, Organised by the Oforikrom Constituency NDC Executives.
The mammoth walk dubbed “24-hour Economy”, a policy the NDC want to introduce in 2025, when they snatch power from the inept ruling NPP, drew thousands of party faithfuls and sympathisers who joined the walk.
Onlookers at the converging point at Tech. Junction, Oforikrom Constituency could not help, but to join by showing solidarity and making the change signals; until the walk ended at the NDC party office.
The 24-hour Economy Health Walk, was to ignite and whip up the support base of the NDC in the area. This was to rally for more votes in Oforikrom to also help catapult the party to power in 2025.
The sons of the late former President Prof. John Evans Fiifi Atta-Mills and former President John Dramani Mahama, Sam Kofi Atta-Mills and Sharaf Mahama joined Mrs. Osei Akoto un the health walk.
Other big wigs who were also part of the mammoth 24-hour Economy Policy Health Walk include the former Mayor of Kumasi Metropolitan Authority (KMA), Mr. Kodjwo Bonso.
Mr. Osei Akoto who aspired for the position of parliamentary candidate in Oforikrom Constituency, noted for committing his resources to campaign for Mr. John Mahama and Vice-Presidential Candidate, Prof., Jane Naana Oppoku-Agyemang in the region.
Mr. Osei-Akoto targets the hinterlands of the Constituency with his campaign team to preach the good works of former President John Dramani Mahama and the NDC, following the magnitude of the work in those areas.
The Osei-Akoto Campaign Team has also been explaining why the NDC is by far different from the failed, and inept ruling NPP led by President Akufo-Addo and Dr. Mahamoudu Bawumia; hence the need to bring back John Dramani Mahama.
