THE YOUTH WING of the Ghana’s largest opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), led by George Opare Addo has asserted that the most serious problem Ghana is battling with is the ruling NPP.

He opined that, “we elect governments to solve problems but this government has become a problem”. George Opare Addo a.k.a Pablo made this assertion during the NDC Youth Manifesto Launch in Accra on International Youth Day Celebration.
The youth could not be meaningfully celebrated due to the unemployment situation and economic crisis led by Vice-President Dr. Mahamoudu Bawumiah.
Pablo retorted that Ghana needs a second independence by voting out the inept Akufo-Addo/Bawumiah led government in order to rescue the country come December 7, 2024 general elections.

He indicated that Ghana is facing the most critical moment where the future of the country depends on the youth. Hence the need to vote for change for a better future.
The NDC National Youth Organiser further pointed out that, “under President Akufo-Addo and Vice-President Dr. Mahamoudu Bawumiah government the situation for young people has become increasingly troubling”.

Today, unemployment situation under Nana Akufo-Addo/Bawumiah government has risen close to 15% from about 8% in 2015/16 under Former President John Dramani Mahama.
This high unemployment rate left many young people without hope or direction: Pablo added saying that it’s even hard for any entrepreneur to succeed in Ghana today. Opportunities that used to exist in Mr. Mahama’s regime are now rare.
“Every day is worse for most young people, whilst a few people in government are misusing our resources”, he hinted. Adding that this cannot continue, as the next NDC government shall recover every stolen money and many other state properties, Mr. Opare Addo assured.

Next NDC government under Former President John Mahama will train one million young people in coding and in-demand supply digital skills for the growing BPO and KPO ecosystems.
And launch a Digital Jobs Initiative that will ensure a $3 billion investment into ICT for the creation of a minimum of 300,000 jobs amongst many other opportunities for the youth.
