RETAINED ASSEMBLYMAN for the Nii Laweh Electoral Area in the Krowor Municipality, Lawrence Nii Bortey Borquaye has fulfilled the promise made with the people of the Martey-Bu.
He employed the services of a mason after procuring the construction materials and with the support of some Unit Committee members, completed the work on a staircase.
The electorates at Martey-Bu, especially the school children have been struggling for sometime to get to the school through the back gate; as a result of deep galley erosion that was created by the rains.
Lawrence Nii Bortey promised to construct a staircase to ease the movement of the school children and people of Martey-Bu who also traverse through the school.
The promise was a response to the request made by these suffering people of Martey-Bu, who prayed for him, saying that, if God permits and he wins, they would want him to prioritize the construction of the staircase for them.
He accepted their request, and work started on the construction of the staircase, however he indicated that whether he wins or not something has to be done about the situation; because it forms party of his duty to ensure their safety, especially the school children in his electoral area.
Lawrence Nii Bortey Borquaye was retained in the last assembly elections held on December 19, 2023. The people of Martey-Bu expressed their gratitude to the Assemblyman, who also thanked them for their support and votes to retain him.
He pledged to do more within his power to bring more changes to the electoral area with support of his Unit Committee members.
Lawrence Nii Borquaye Bortey was one term Unit Committee member; and he awaits to be inaugurated at the Krowor Municipal Assembly for his thirted term Assemblyman, to continue with his good works.
