The Acting Communication Officer for Sunyani East Constituency of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) who is also an outspoken person, Maxwell Mahama has said Jaman South Constituency of the party can win the Parliamentary seat if only the truth will stand.
According to him, he has been in the Jaman South Constituency for almost two (2) months. He said the factual truth is that, the New Patriotic Party in Jaman South Constituency is seriously in tatters.
There has not been any reorganisation of the Party. No polling station Executives, Electoral Area Coordinators and Constituency Executives Elections have not been conducted. Some selfish interest groups including Kwame baffoe aka Abronye DC, the Bono Regional Chairman of the party conjured and put together some fictitious polling station and Electoral Area Coordinators album as well as Constituency Executives album and presented to John Boadu and he ignorantly accepted it because of maybe the machinations he wanted to do prior to the just ended national delegates conference of the NPP.
As a result of that, the rank-and-file Members or Party faithfuls are disgruntled and seriously angry. This again could have another terrible effect on the Party going forward 2024 general elections. Those who conjured to produce those fictitious albums belong to the minority and this is seriously affecting the Party.
According to the information he has gathered concerning how the party members are angry and he is pleading with the indefatigable newly elected National Executives to put up an independent committee outside Bono Region (exclusively) to come to Jaman South Constituency and embark on a proper fact-finding mission so that the party can be salvaged in Jaman South.
It is notoriously known that Jaman South Constituency is never for the NDC neither is it a swing Constituency but for the leadership crisis prior to the 2020 general elections, the NPP was disastrously and disgracefully defeated in the parliamentary elections, he said.
Interestingly, those people who caused the defeat of the Party in the Parliamentary Elections during the 2020 general elections thinking that they were doing good to the Party are still controlling the affairs of the Party and the status quo remains.
We must put individual interests aside and place the interest of the Party ahead, he advised.
Once again, the New Patriotic Party is in tatters in the Jaman South Constituency. This is my opinion, the sooner is solved the later it will turn into another way round.
