Increase in the price of common sachet water from 40 Ghana Pesewas to 60 Ghana Pesewas today has caught the attention of Ghanaians who have described the situation as unfortunate.
The price of this commodity was increased from 30 Ghana Pesewas to 40 Ghana Pesewas some few weeks ago, and today this same commodity shot to 60p from 40p worsening to further worsen the situation of the people whose income has never changed upward.
According to the people of Sunyani in the Bono Region, they do not understand a country like Ghana that has been blessed and endowed with all sorts of natural resources and abundant fresh water should be going through water crises to extent of struggling to buy sachet water as if it were gold or diamond.
The people have therefore called on the NPP government led by Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo to intervene since life have become very unbearable for them in this few years as a result of the current economic hardships under his watch.
