The National Democratic Congress (NDC) grassroots in the Ayawaso East Constituency of the Greater Accra Region are urging their colleague delegates at the branch levels to elect a chairman who has a redeeming qualities.
Ayawaso East Constituency joins other constituencies across the country to elect new Constituency executives for the next four (4) years.
The grassroots needed a leader who has what it takes to provide the youth some skills training to be self-employed, as the person provides proper leadership to entire constituency.
According to one Isahaku Abdullah Ali, an NDC loyalist and a grassroot person, some of the aspirants will like to use money to buy their positions and at the end the grassroots will remain in their same situations.
In a statement sent to Nationaltymes.com by Abdullah Ali, he hinted that Ayawaso East Constituency want John Kwadwo Otchere Darko, KOD who has the redeeming qualities to transform the Constituency for better from it current quagmire.
He added that Lawyer KOD can be a better leader to give better accountability and his executive members should be able to also account for moneys that came to run activities of the party in the Constituency.
He explained that Lawyer KOD has a documented plans cut out for the area for a better Constituency for once. Abdullah Ali mentioned a few of the KOD’s plans including skills training for the youth, of which the women at the branch level have programmes to empower them economically.
Abdullah Ali opined that following the campaign message of three (3) aspirants, only KOD has a realistic and credible message good for the delegates and branches who change in their lives.
He further cited that Lawyer KOD is in the position to provide to all the branches logistics for them to raise funds on their own to run their branches.
To him, the branches should be careful with those who come to them with mouth-watering promises for their votes only for them to go back to their poor situations they are in now, and they need to come out of it.
He noted that all aspiring for the Chairmanship position, only KOD has the redeeming qualities based on his credible plans to redeem Ayawaso East Constituency for once in history.
“It is high time the branches in Ayawaso East scrutiny the messages of all the aspirants, and also elect people who are genuinely working to man our Constituency in the next 4 year term,” Isahaku Abdullah Ali stated.
He expresses confidence that KOD will help to retain any Parliamentary Candidate, PC, the party will present and maximize the votes of the NDC in Ayawaso East Constituency.
