La MP Held Breakfast Meeting with Aspirants

The Member of Parliament for the people of La Dade-Kotopon Constituency in the Greater Region, Madam Rita Naa Odoley Sowah has held a breakfast meeting with NDC members who are aspiring for various positions in the area.

The MP, Naa Odoley Sowah organised the breakfast meeting purposely for about 46 hardworking NDC members who came out to opt for one position or the other to be part of La Dade-Kotopon Constituency Executives.

The current constituency executives are opting to retain their positions to continue with their work, whilst the new ones declared their intentions to do better.

Their strong intentions are geared towards how to retain the parliamentary seat and maximize votes for the NDC party in the area come 2024 general elections.

The breakfast meeting was purposely for peaceful elections and united front in pursuit of victory for NDC in 2024.

Hon. Rita Naa Odoley Sowah, MP, who appears as the family head, generously paid for the delegates list for each of the 46 aspirants to have copies for their perusal ahead of the election which is considered as a friendly contest among family members.

HON NAA ODOLEY IN A SERIOUS MOOD AS SHE ADMONISHES THE ASPIRANTS IN HER AREA, WHILST HON SLY LOOKS WITH A BROAD SMILES.

She informed the aspirants that the NDC as usual is uniting as one family so the onus lies on them at La to also help to strengthen that unity at the constituency level, hence the need for her to organise such a breakfast meeting.

Hon. Rita, affectionately called ‘Naa Odoley’ by everyone, appealed to the aspirants who turned out massively at the meeting to have a clean campaign that could win the sympathy of the delegates.

She further appealed that they advice their followers to desist from SAYING ANYTHING that has the tendency to foment trouble and disunity amongst NDC in the area going into the crucial elections 2024.

Sylvester Mensah, former NHIA Boss who chaired the event acknowledged the good intentions of each aspirants, but he was quick to admonish them to go into the contest with two outcomes, ie. win or lose as they campaign to woo delegates for votes.

Mr. Mensah further advised them amongst other things that the contest is going to produce no winners or losers, but the need to get leaders to lead for togetherness and to work for the NDC to snatch power in 2024 was the focus now.

The former La Dade-Kotopon MP, Nii Amasanamo-Ale and other former constituency executives and some party elders graced the well-attended breakfast meeting.

They also took their turns to advice the hardworking party members who are aspiring for one position or another.

Hon. Emmanuel Kwapong, Chairman of a-5-member Elections Directorate for La Dade-Kotopon NDC and his two Deputies were in attendance to pledge to ensure things are done right for a peaceful elections come October 22 and 23, 2022.
