The Hon. Assembly member for Nima East Electoral Area in the Ayawaso East Municipality of the Greater Accra Region, Sister Rukaiyatu Eliasu Yussif has mobilised her people in the area to undertake a clean up exercise.
The clean up exercise was organised to join the world to celebrate the ‘World Cleanup Day’.
Madam Eliasu Yussif affectionately called Alfawey, with the support of her Unit Committee members clean and desilt all the gutters in the area.
In an interview with Nationaltymes.com, the hardworking and energetic young lady hinted that the exercise would not be a nine days wonder, but would continue to ensure it covers her electoral area.
She was quick to add that it takes various and needed resources to carry out such clean up exercise especially in Nima East, as well as constant education. “People in my electoral area are willing to come out to work but one needs to go reminding them to come out in their numbers”, she noted.
They scooped all the debris that chock some gutters in the area making the gutters clean.
Madam Rukaiyatu Eliasu Yussif is always praised for her hardworking, because she has her Nima East Electoral Area at heart.
