The Legislator for the people of Krachi-Nchumuru Constituency in the Oti Region, Hon. Solomon Kuyon has donated sophisticated items to the Ghana Education Service, GES Directorate in the area.
The items which the Hon MP donated to the education directorate, runs into thousands of Ghana cedis to enhance education there.
He presented (14 ) laptops, (7) Dell Desktop computers and (2 )Printers to the GES Directorate in his constituency.
Presenting the items in a brief ceremony at Chinderi, the District Capital of Krachi-Nchumuru, the MP, Hon. Solomon Kuyon hinted that the donation of the equipments has become necessary in the current Covid-19 situation.
He was optimistic that the support would help deepen the ICT studies among the pupils, emphasizing that the idea of ICT learning is critical and crucial hence the need to push that agenda to a higher leve.
The visionary MP, Solomon Kuyon congratulated the teachers in the district for their sacrifice for the preparation of their final year pupils and students towards the just ended BECE and the West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) admist Covid-19 pandemic.
He prayed that the results of the BECE and the WASSCE would be good so that the sacrificial work by the teachers and Education Directorate in the area would not be in vain.
Mr. David Seddoh, the District Director of Education of Krachi Nchumuru, thanked Hon. Kuyon for the items, and added that the support would go a long way to help the Directorate.
According to him, the MP donated the items – laptops etc. at the right time, disclosing that the Directorate was to have workshop for the teachers but it was a headache to him due to lack laptops for the trainees.
Following the donation, he was highly elated and further thank the Member of Parliament, Hon. Kuyon for his timely kind gesture.
Mr. Seddoh also use the opportunity to appeal to other Benevolent organizations, NGOs and individuals to come to their aid as the Directorate is confronted with lots of challenges.
