The Judiciary of Ghana has been implored not to allow themselves to be used by the ruling NPP led by Nana Akufo-Addo to witch-hunt the NDC Members of Parliament, MPs for their (NPP) negative agenda.

Speaking at the 40th anniversary of the 31st December celebration in Accra, the NDC National Chairman Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo called on Ghanaian Judges not to allow the NPP government to use them like tools to perpetuate their ill-motives that could affect the young democracy of this country.
Ghana Police Service was also appealed not to be “Zombies” for the NPP to use them to go after the NDC MPs in order to reduce the number of NDC members of parliament to carry a planned agenda against Ghanaians.

He explained that after the NPP government realised its failed to go through with its draconian electronic (e-levy) tax of 1.75% which has the tendency to double tax the people, they want to use the Judiciary and the police to go after NDC MPs.
The NPP government began to fake cases against some former NDC appointees who happen to be members of parliament (MP) and use the police and the judiciary to go after them in order to reduce their numbers in parliament so they could pass the infamous e-levy.
The government started this move with the former deputy Finance Minister, Cassiel Ato Baah Forson. The NPP administration alleged that this former deputy Finance minister signed for the procurement of some ambulances.

And this procurement of the ambulances to them (NPP) has caused financial lost to the state irrespective of the due process by the same Attorney General who gave greenlight for procurement of these vehicles for the State.
In a related development, the NPP government prevailed on the Ghana Police Service to arrest the Hon. MP for Madina, Francis Sosu Xavier for helping his people to demonstrate against bad roads after the police in the area gave the go ahead for the protest.
To this, the National Chairman of the NDC, Mr. Ofosu-Ampofo charged the Judiciary and the police not to allow themselves to be used by the NPP government to harrass any NDC member of parliament to satisfy their selfish agenda.
He noted keenly that the country’s media is corrupted with positions like board membership, PROs etc. in the government so they have also re-directed their focus on the opposition parties only instead on both.
This is a deliberate attempt to make the opposition political parties look bad in the in minds of Ghanaians as if the NPP government is doing so well that the problem is the opposition parties, especially the NDC.
Chairman Ofosu-Ampofo opined and charged the media not to only focus on the opposition NDC but also they should be interested in the activities of the government more to be on their toes.
