The Youth Wings of the Ghana’s two major Political parties, the NDC and NPP in Kintampo North Organized a massive maiden Joint clean-up Exercise dubbed ”Clean Kintampo Campaign” on the principal streets of Sawaba, Kintampo last Saturday.
The exercise was organized by Joseph Nanga Nyindam and Abdul Mubarick Seidu, Constituency Youth Organizers for the two political parties, NDC and NPP in partnership with Action Youth for Development-Ghana, a community-based development group and supported by the Municipal Assembly.
The exercise was well attended by High profiled personalities like Hon Isaac Baffoe Ameyaw (Municipal Chief Executive for Kintampo North), Hon Joseph Kwame Kumah (MP for Kintampo North), Nana Owusu Penkrah, Hon Ampem Darko, Regional and Constituency Executives for both political parties.
The security agencies, Nadmo, Zoom Lion, Assembly Members, National Youth Authority, Kintampo Connect, the media, GPRTU OF TUC, PROTOA, Kintampo Garrages Association, Kintampo Truck Association and all other parties and social associations in and around Kintampo North were in attendance.
The participants desilted the gutters on the Sawaba stretch of the Techiman-Tamale highway. Several tons of sand and polythene bags were scooped from the gutters. The Ghana National Fire service helped to pump water to flush off the debris after the exercise for the gutters to gain free flow.
The joint exercise was geared towards unity and purpose amongst the youth of Kintampo for development in their area.
The Youth Wings were grateful for the wonderful work done by the youth of the two political parties and everyone who participated.
