The Inter-religious Association for Peace and Development, IAPD, under the auspices of the Universal Peace Federation, UPF, has awarded the National Youth Affairs Secretary for the Ghana United Nations Association, GUNA, Samuel Bamidele Temitope Ojo.

Comrade Bamidele Temitope Ojo was honoured for his benevolence for humanity and his peaceful pursuits, especially his mediation in the Nigeria traders-GUTA impasse and conferred with a peace ambassadorial honour.
He was noted for his exemplary role in ensuring peace in Ghana, across the sub-region and the African continent at large.

Receiving the award, now Ambassador Comrade Samuel Bamidele Temitope Ojo, has called for utter regard for traditional norms and values which to him are underpinnings of religion. This he noted is the surest way to achieving Inter-religious tolerance culminating in peace.
He emphasised that, “religion started at home with the individual by respecting societal norms and values, birthing what is called region”.
“….it is only when we understand our norms and values as the cornerstone of religion that we can integrate religiously to engender the peace we yearn for” he further explains.
Ambassador Comrade Temitope Ojo says he was surprised at such an international recognition of his impact, as this will spare him on to step up efforts at enhancing peace across all facets of human endeavours.

Prior to the event, he has been identified and honoured by CSOs, religious and social groupings for his exceptional humanitarian works particularly in Ghana for years.
Ambassador Comrade Samuel Bamidele Temitope Ojo is the Director of Corporate Affairs, Ghana Chapter of the Nigerians in the Diaspora, Board Member and Welfare Officer of Nigeria Business Forum-Ghana and President of Care and Food Ministry, Ghana Chapter.
